Helen Flanagan ‘ready for love’ again after branding ex a ‘piece of s**t’

Date:

Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan is ready for romance in 2026 after a very public break-up with ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair, and she is getting ready to share every detail with her loyal fans in a new podcast

Former soap star Helen Flanagan is all set to find love again this year. The Celebs Go Dating star had a tumultuous end to 2025, following a very public spat with her ex-fiancé, footballer Scott Sinclair, 36, on social media.

However, a source claims that Helen is optimistic about a brighter 2026. “Helen is definitely ready for love,” the insider reveals.

“She loves being with someone and wants to meet a new partner that she can really trust and depend on. She likes feeling like part of a team with someone, and she’s determined that whoever she ends up with will be a guy who adores her three kids too, because they are her top priority.”

The 35-year-old former Coronation Street actress plans to document her journey towards romance in an upcoming podcast set to debut in the next few months. “She’s going to be very open about it,” a source revealed.

“It’s going to be a big, positive year for Helen — she’s really going for it. She’s feeling fearless right now, and won’t be holding back.”, the insider told the Mirror.

Scott is the father of their three children — Matilda, 10, Delilah, seven, and four year old Charlie. However, tensions flared in December when Helen criticised him for missing Charlie’s Christmas nativity play to attend the Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi.

Helen took to Instagram to vent her frustration, sharing a screenshot of one of Scott’s posts from his trip and writing: “You really are a piece of s**t,” and “How dare you not turn up to Charlie’s nativity.”

An irate Helen shared a tender moment with their son after his performance, captioning it: “Loved Charlie’s nativity. My star, my heartbeat.” It’s reported that she even unfollowed Scott on social media following the disagreement.

In addition to launching a podcast, Helen, known for her role as Rosie Webster in Coronation Street, is set to release a new book later this month. Titled Head and Heart: Break-Ups, Breakdowns and Being Rosie, the book promises to delve into her career, motherhood, and personal life highs and lows.

A source suggests that Scott should prepare himself for some potentially shocking revelations. The source revealed: “Scott is bracing himself for when Helen’s book and podcast come out,” adding, “she feels very unsupported by him, and doesn’t care who she tells about it. She feels immensely let down and wants the world to know.”

Helen and ex-Bristol Rovers star Scott became engaged in May 2018 after he popped the question at Disneyland Paris. However, the pair called time on their 13-year romance in 2022, and their separation has been anything but smooth sailing.

Following her split from Scott, Helen found love again with former footballer Robbie Talbot during her stint on Celebs Go Dating in 2024. However, the couple parted ways last summer, with pals revealing they were after different things in life.

Helen then announced she’d be staying single for the time being, declaring in August, “I’m done with men for the time being. I’m concentrating on the kids, work, moving house and being with my friends. Breaking up with Robbie hasn’t stopped me believing in love but I always seem to have a boyfriend.

“I need a break to do some inner work on myself. I want to learn to not need a man. I do struggle with men. So I now need to focus on myself for a bit.”
