Emmerdale viewers are convinced another mysterious murder is about to take place in the village
Since the new year kicked off, Emmerdale has aired the deaths of Celia Daniels, Ray Walters, and John Sugden, and fans think another murder is on the horizon.
In recent episodes of the ITV soap, the harrowing crimes of Celia (Jaye Griffiths) and her son Ray (Joe Absolom) were exposed, including drug trafficking, sexual exploitation, and exploiting workers in a modern slavery plot.
Ray killed his abusive mum by stabbing her in the back, but only hours later, he was also dead, and his murderer still remains unknown.
However, Ray’s corpse is confirmed to be hidden in the back of Jai Sharma’s (Chris Bisson) lorry, which is parked at the depot belonging to Caleb Miligan (William Ash).
While the villagers are unaware of Celia and Ray’s fate, Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is planning to take over the Butlers Farm land, and he’s using Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) to do his dirty work.
Having found some suspicious documents and items at Celia’s house, he came up with the idea of planting them at Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J. Robb) home.
In a devious plot, Joe already blackmailed Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) and her brother Robert into giving him their farm after Joe filmed Victoria killing John (Oliver Farnworth).
However, Joe escalated his sinister plan when he told Robert that he needed to frame Moira by planting the documents.
He said this would land her in trouble with the police and encourage her to sell up her farm to Joe for a good price. He and Kim Tate (Claire King) would finally get the land they had been after for so long.
Joe even offered Robert money and a job for him to carry out his plan, telling him he had to be the one to plant the evidence. Robert was sickened and refused, but later he seemed to change his mind, knowing they would need the money.

Later, Robert successfully planted the evidence in Moira’s home before Kim informed him and Joe that Celia had been using their farm land for forced labour. Will Moira be prosecuted for a crime she didn’t commit?
As Joe’s plans to take over Butlers Farm unravel, some Emmerdale fans are convinced he will be killed as he makes enemies in the village once more. Could Joe be killed off 30 years after the character was introduced?
Taking to Reddit, one person wrote: “Joe. Does anyone else think this latest storyline with wanting to set Moira up is going to lead to him being killed off and another whodunnit?”
A second stated: “I SO WANT HIM KILLED OFF PLEASE. He’s agitating me”, while a third chimed in on X: “#emmerdale Please someone bump Joe off. Can’t stand his smug b****y face!”
“Robert, there’s only one way to fix this. You’re going to have to kill Joe. #Emmerdale”, another added.
“Can someone just unalive Joe already, he’s such a snake. #Emmerdale”, urged one viewer.
