EastEnders star left fighting for his life after being attacked by his own father

It’s not good news as one person remains in a coma following a violent attack on Thursday

BBC soap EastEnders has confirmed the aftermath of Nugget’s brutal attack, and it’s not good news.

During Wednesday’s (January 7) trip to Walford, Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) concocted a scheme to spike Ravi Gulati’s drink in a revenge attack for Harry’s (Elijah Holloway) kidnapping and drug ordeal.

However, the mother and son duo are unaware that Ravi (Aaron Thiara) wasn’t prosecuted for his drug offences as he turned into a police informant.

After being refused permission to attend Eve (Heather Peace) and Suki’s (Balvinder Sopal) adoption meeting with the rest of the family, Ravi headed to Harry’s Barn, where he shared a drink with Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker), who had just lost his son Anthony (Nicholas Bailey).

Ravi insisted he was a reformed man and desired a new beginning with his family away from the world of crime, but the Mitchells have other plans.

Landlady Nicola seized the chance to offer mourning Patrick a complimentary beverage and decided to extend the same courtesy to Ravi. Nicola laced Ravi’s drink with a deadly amount of drugs and served both Ravi and Patrick their beverages, whilst Harry observed his enemy consuming the perilous mixture of narcotics and alcohol.

Before long, Ravi was stumbling out of the bar, colliding with George Knight (Colin Salmon), and making his way towards the Square when an entertained Harry intercepted him.

The garage worker assisted Ravi in walking into The Arches and positioned him in the pit before subjecting him to torment, before abandoning him.

Whilst experiencing his delusions, Ravi detected footsteps approaching him before the recognisable voice of his brutal father, Nish, became audible.

On Thursday, Nish (Navin Chowdhry) returned and reunited with his son Ravi, who had managed to escape from The Arches.

In his hallucination, Nish tried to strangle Ravi, so he hit back and brutally attacked his dad. But of course, Nish wasn’t really there, and Ravi had instead unwittingly attacked his son Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury).

In forthcoming EastEnders scenes, Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) stays beside her son Nugget, who has been put in an induced coma.

Nugget’s family gather by his bedside in the hospital as they wait for news on the injured teenager.

Meanwhile, Ravi wakes up after his spiking, with no recollection of what had happened the previous night. When he makes his way home and charges his phone, he picks up some very worrying messages.

He is horrified to hear about his son’s attack, and as his fractured memories return, he is devastated to realise that he must be responsible for this terrible incident. Will Nugget survive the attack from his own father?

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One and iPlayer
