The Traitors fans can now apply for the next season of the BBC gameshow
Fans of The Traitors eager to participate in the game of deceit can now apply for the next series of the BBC gameshow.
Claudia Winkleman welcomed a fresh group of Faithfuls and Traitors for series four on New Year’s Day, and she’ll be announcing her winners next week.
This year’s finale is scheduled for Friday, January 23 and will last for 75 minutes, instead of the usual 60 minutes.
In a major twist, this year introduced the Secret Traitor, a red-cloaked villain whose identity was concealed from the other Traitors and viewers at home.
They had the power to nominate a shortlist of Faithfuls to kill each night, from which the Traitors would select their final victim.
It was disclosed early this series that Fiona Hughes was the hidden villain, but it’s uncertain if the twist will be included in future series.
However, you could be in the castle to witness it all first hand, reports Wales Online.
How do I apply for The Traitors?
You can apply for The Traitors on the BBC’s official take part site. The current deadline is Sunday, May 31st, and you must meet the requirements in order to qualify.
The eligibility criteria is as follows:
- You are, or will be at least 18 years old at the time of applying for The Traitors
- You have the right to legally reside in the UK
- You must be available to take part in the programme for up to 4 weeks currently anticipated to be in Summer/Autumn 2026
The BBC reserves the right to close applications or extend the deadline without notice, so it’s advisable to apply as soon as possible.
Before filling out the form, fans should consider some important tips from previous contestants.
Last year’s popular Traitor, Minah Shannon, recently shared words of advice on TikTok.
Speaking to her 61K followers, she began: “I’m gonna give you a few things that I think are worth considering and thinking of when doing your application. First thing is be yourself.
“Honestly guys, all my friends and family will tell you I was 100% myself on that show and I was 100% myself throughout the application stage.”
Minah went on: “Second thing is confidence. I think people really underestimate the power of confidence.
“If you have pure genuine confidence, everyone in the room will be confident in you and I think that’s one thing that made me stand out. Practising confidence is very important if you’re about to be on a TV show.”

She proceeded to stress how crucial it is to make your application distinctive so it stands apart from the crowd. Minah’s fourth piece of advice was to persuade BBC executives that the programme simply cannot function without you.
“For me, I desperately wanted to be a Traitor so any opportunity I had from the casting team up until I spoke to Claudia I said ‘I have to be a Traitor’, it is the only outcome possible,” she revealed.
Minah concluded: “Whether you want to be a Traitor or a Faithful just believe in yourself and convince everybody involved that there is only one outcome and that outcome is you being on the show.”
The Traitors continues on BBC One and iPlayer tonight at 8pm
