The Traitors star Harriet made a surprise confession after her banishment on Wednesday
The Traitors star Harriet has made a shock confession after her dramatic exit on Wednesday (January 14). BBC viewers were thrilled to witness Claudia Winkleman’s return to the Scottish Highlands this month, as 22 fresh contestants prepared to deceive, double-cross and manipulate their way towards claiming £100,000.
Following the elimination of the second Traitor last week, Faithfuls Matthew and Harriet made their way to the chapel to pose two questions to the surviving Traitors – a privilege they’d secured in the Walled Garden earlier that day. Matthew enquired about the Traitors’ next intended victim, with Rachel and Stephen responding that Jessie was their target. The Faithful then asked if they could murder Jessie next, before recruiting him.
As tonight’s programme commenced, Harriet found herself in front of the confessional, questioning the Traitors about their recruitment plans. She subsequently left Rachel and Stephen stunned when she disclosed that she had been dishonest about her profession and was actually a former criminal barrister and psychological thriller author.
But that wasn’t the end of it, as Harriet also unveiled her intention to expose Rachel as a Traitor, leaving a petrified Rachel confessing: “She’s scaring the life out of me,” reports Wales Online.

A dramatic confrontation unfolded the following morning when Harriet chose to voice her suspicions about Rachel to the entire group.
“I’m afraid, I’m not acting as a collective with anybody anymore. I’m afraid, I’m done with that… Rachel, my intention tonight at [the] roundtable is to lay out my evidence for why I think you are a Traitor,” Harriet said, leaving everyone else speechless.
Despite her instinct being spot-on, Harriet’s explosive outburst at breakfast caused her fellow contestants to become wary of her. Realising she would probably be banished at the roundtable, Harriet chose to “sacrifice” herself, imploring the group to scrutinise Rachel, Roxy and Matthew once she revealed her identity as a Faithful.
Yet, moments after Harriet’s banishment, the remaining contestants immediately rejected the accusations against Rachel as they didn’t suspect her, and instead turned their focus to Roxy and Matthew.
Chatting to host Ed Gamble on The Traitors: Uncloaked, Harriet disclosed that her loyalties had shifted after watching the episode back, with the Faithful now supporting the Traitors to triumph.
“I know I said then that I was hoping for a Faithful victory, but there is a part of me now which is a bit like, ‘Hang on a minute, none of them listened to me, why should they get anything?'” she said.
“I think Stephen and Rachel, up to that point at least, definitely deserve it. I hate to say I’m team Traitor, but at least I’d have been beaten by Brazil, you know.”
Explaining her decision to go on the offensive at breakfast, Harriet added: “I didn’t want to give [the Traitors] the opportunity to spin anything against me in advance. I mean, I knew what I’d said in the confessional and I was, at that point, believing there had been five people cramped in that chapel, and so everyone was against me.
“I just had to get my cards out on the table, as far as I was concerned. People could then make of it what they would, but at least I would know I had controlled my own narrative as much as was humanly possible. There was no strategy by this point.”
