EastEnders viewers finally know what really happened to Anthony Trueman on Christmas Day which lead to his death as a Walford resident’s true colours was exposed
The truth behind Anthony Trueman’s shock Christmas Day death has been revealed.
EastEnders fans watch the Walford doctor get killed off in a shocking twist during the festive period.
His former flame Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) is currently in prison, charged with her his murder, while her mum Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) is in Corfu searching for Chrissie Watts (Tracy Ann Oberman), who she believes to be responsible.
However, viewers have finally learned who really committed the crime during Thursday’s (January 15) episode of the BBC soap opera which is now available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
Earlier this week, Anthony’s dad Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) was told by the funeral director that he would soon be able to view his son’s body.
He decided to make amends with his estranged granddaughter Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) but she made a quick exit when talk turned to Anthony’s funeral arrangements.
During the latest episode, Oscar Branning ( Pierre Moullier) left Jasmine a worried voicemail, having not heard from her since the day before.
Jasmine was soon spotted when she returned to Walford on the back of a milk truck, still drunk. Desperate to keep Patrick in the dark about Jasmine going off the rails, Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) found her in the café and vowed to sober her up but the youngster ran off again.
As Jasmine looked at a mysterious video on her phone, she struck up a flirty conversation with Zack Hudson (James Farrar) but Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) steered her away and begged her to stop treating Patrick badly.
When Jasmine said that she didn’t fit in the family, Chelsea revealed that Anthony was no saint. With Chelsea refusing to elaborate, Jasmine stormed over to No.20 to confront the whole family about Anthony.
Patrick admitted the truth about his son, telling Jasmine that Anthony was controlling, that his ex-wife took out a restraining order against her and the kids, and that he was obsessed with her mum, Zoe.
Jasmine was furious with everyone and headed to the café, but Patrick followed her to explain more about Anthony explaining that despite his son’s behaviour, he still believed that Anthony was a good man.
As a result, Jasmine changed her mind decided to join the family to visit Anthony at the chapel of rest. They all said their emotional goodbye and Jasmine asked to have a moment alone with her late dad.

Once she was in private, Jasmine’s mood changed and she pulled out her phone and showed Anthony’s body the video she took on Christmas Day showing Anthony attacking Zoe in The Vic, before an angry confrontation that ended with Anthony falling to the floor dead, with Jasmine having killed him.
“You could have killed her but I stopped you. It’s nice to finally meet you, dad. Now rot in hell,” Jasmine told Anthony.
Will Jasmine’s true colours be exposed and will she help her mum Zoe get out of prison?
