Love Island All Stars returned to ITV2 tonight with one star confessing what really led to his public breakup
A Love Island star has spilled the beans about his public breakup within moments of the new All Stars season kicking off.
Maya Jama made her return as presenter this evening (January 15), welcoming 12 former Islanders back to the villa for another chance at romance.
This year’s cast features everyone from previous champion Millie Court to finalist Shaq Muhammad. The latter had previously coupled up with Tanya Manhenga after they met on the programme in 2023.
The pair finished fourth that series and departed the villa as a couple, but their relationship crumbled just over a year afterwards in August 2024.
Tanya, 25, subsequently claimed her former partner had been unfaithful during a boys’ trip to Miami with fellow Islander Dami Hope.
Shaq announced their separation to his social media followers, writing: “Hi guys, just want to say unfortunately me and Tanya are no longer together and have parted ways. We wish each other the best and can’t thank you enough for loving us together until now,” reports OK!.
Now, the reality star has come clean about what really caused their relationship to end. During his All Stars introductory chat, Shaq confessed: “I was with Tanya the whole time and we made it to the final. I left with a girlfriend, then it all went downhill.”
He continued by admitting: “We broke up. I called another girl beautiful, that’s what I did.”
Nevertheless, Shaq later confessed to Belle Hassan that he “got a lap dance in Miami” and that’s what ultimately destroyed their romance.

Social media has been abuzz with fans sharing their thoughts on Shaq’s version of events, with many speculating that he isn’t revealing the whole truth.
One user on X, previously known as Twitter, commented: “So first it was Shaq called someone beautiful but now its he had a lap dance in Miami make your mind up darling.”
