The Traitors is heading towards its finale, but how can Rachel and Stephen emerge victorious?
The Scottish Highlands have been the scene of intense drama over recent weeks, as 22 fresh contestants entered the world of The Traitors. Two Traitors have already faced banishment, sparking a series of heated clashes amongst the Faithfuls.
Now, only eight participants are left standing – Traitors Rachel and Stephen, alongside Faithfuls Roxy, Jade, Jack, Matthew, James, and Faraaz. Last week’s episodes concluded with a massive cliffhanger when presenter Claudia Winkleman brought the ceremonial dagger into play.
Rachel and Stephen faced the crucial decision of selecting which contestant would receive the dagger, with the chosen player gaining double voting power at the upcoming roundtable – an advantage capable of completely transforming the game’s dynamics.
With the eagerly awaited finale just days away, BBC audiences have been voicing their opinions on the chances of a Traitors victory. They’ve also outlined the “only way” Rachel and Stephen can claim triumph, reports Wales Online.

“I think there are plenty of paths for Rachel to win and at this point I would be shocked if she doesn’t. However, I think it’ll be difficult for both Traitors to win together, but there is a specific path that they can lay out that gives them the best chance,” one viewer posted on Reddit.
The fan proposed that Rachel and Stephen should present the dagger to James, who would probably utilise his double votes against Matthew during the roundtable, having consistently voiced his doubts about him.
They continued: “[Then] murder Jack. For the final murder, I think it’s important to murder Jack over Faraaz (since it’s certainly between the two of them for murder) because I think Jack is much more likely to catch Stephen than Faraaz is. Jack even started to question if someone close to him is protecting him, and his best mate is Stephen. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he’s already onto Stephen and just biding his time.
“Once Matt is confirmed a Faithful, use James leading the charge for his banishment and the dagger to get James banished at the final six roundtable. It should be quite easy to get Roxy’s vote since she has suspected James for a while now, and three votes should be enough unless James, Faraaz and Jade all vote together (unlikely). This will be the final time someone can reveal their role.”
The viewer then outlined how Rachel and Stephen should focus on eliminating Jade during the final five roundtable, given she wouldn’t have the opportunity to disclose her identity to fellow contestants.
They observed: “This will be risky for Stephen because he could just as easily get banished here. But I think Rachel and Stephen can sway Roxy to banish Jade over Stephen, regardless of how Faraaz votes.”
In their predicted finale, the fan envisaged Rachel, Stephen, Faraaz and Roxy remaining at the firepit. They reckon that if Jade were perceived as a Traitor, there’s a narrow possibility Rachel and Stephen could persuade Faraaz and Roxy that she was last remaining Traitor, potentially concluding the series with all four players.
The fan concluded: “Alternatively, you could convince Faraaz to banish Roxy, but is more risky and could backfire. If anyone is banished at four, it’ll most likely be Stephen. So, I think ending the game at four is his best chance to win.”
There’s never been a joint Traitor victory in the UK version of the programme, with only Harry Clark managing to outwit the Faithful and claim the prize. Could Rachel and Stephen be the ones to make history? Only time will tell.
