A depraved man caught with indecent images of children and extreme pornographic material featuring bestiality has avoided prison. Nathan Trewern appeared at Truro Crown Court this month where he received his sentence for multiple sexual offences.
Tthe court was told how between April 2015 and the end of May 2024, the 30-year-old created 190 category A indecent images of children – the most serious classification – alongside 159 category B images and 51 category C images.
He also faced sentencing for sharing 231 indecent images of children during that timeframe and for possessing extreme pornographic material depicting sexual acts with animals.
Court documents revealed that Trewern possessed seven images “which portrayed, in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing an act of intercourse with a live animal, namely a dog and a horse”, reports Cornwall Live.
He admitted guilt to three charges of creating indecent images of children, one count of distributing indecent images of children and one charge of possessing extreme pornographic images.
He received a total sentence of two years imprisonment suspended for two years, plus 200 hours of unpaid work and 40 days of rehabilitation activity requirement including a sex offenders’ programme.
Trewern, from Treloweth Road in Pool, situated between Redruth and Camborne, was also subjected to a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years.
He will be listed on the sex offenders’ register for the same duration. Additionally, he was ordered to pay £120 in court costs.
