Three men have been apprehended by police on suspicion of sexually assaulting two teenage girls at a busy shopping centre in Leeds. West Yorkshire Police reported that they were summoned to the Seacroft Green shopping centre around 8.45pm last night (December 30) following reports of suspicious behaviour involving men in the vicinity.
Upon arrival, officers found two men and two teenage girls. Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of two men, aged 38 and 44, who are currently in custody under suspicion of sexual assault offences against the teenagers.
A third man, aged 20, was also arrested today on suspicion of sexual assault and is being held in police custody. West Yorkshire Police are urging anyone with information about the alleged incidents to come forward.
The force stated: “Enquiries remain ongoing by Leeds District Safeguarding officers to support the victims and determine the full circumstances of what occurred.
“Reassurance patrols by uniformed officers have also been ongoing in the area.”, reports the Express.
