BBC The Traitors star Ross has broken his silence about his friendship with another player.
The Traitors star Ross has revealed the true story behind his bond with a fellow contestant.
Claudia Winkleman’s cherished murder mystery gameshow has made its comeback, featuring 22 contestants adopting the personas of Faithfuls and Traitors as they compete for a £100,000 prize.
The fourth series of the acclaimed BBC programme has unveiled a massive new twist, introducing a covert Traitor concealed from both viewers and fellow participants.
However, fans suspect certain contestants might be hiding additional secrets as they attempt to decode hints about relationships kept away from the cameras.
Previously, Alex and Tom in series one sparked drama during an infamous breakfast moment where they disclosed they were romantically involved, reports Wales Online.

During series two, beloved contestant Diane stunned audiences when she declared: “Paul isn’t my son… but Ross is.”
Last year witnessed sisters Armani and Maia betraying one another after one was selected as a Traitor.
And the opening episode this series disclosed that Roxy is Judy’s daughter, as she confided to cameras: “Judy seems lovely, but I would say that because she’s my mum.”
When Judy became the first Faithful eliminated, the duo never revealed their family connection to other players, though one contestant chose a different strategy, with Netty immediately disclosing her previous friendship with Ross upon spotting him.
They revealed they’d crossed paths over a decade ago through a mutual friend, with Ross later confessing he would have preferred to keep their acquaintance under wraps to avoid raising eyebrows, particularly as Netty became the first contestant to be eliminated.
He’s now addressed the speculation head-on in a TikTok clip, stating: “So let’s just clean this up and get this out of the way.
“So basically, Netty and I know each other from a mutual friend called Dan… And basically, he used to go to Bradford basketball tournament and that’s how they met and so I’ve seen Netty a few times, went out and about in London.
“So then on a separate occasion, maybe like a year or so, a couple of times later, cause I see her out a few times right and I’m out with another friend who I won’t bait out for the internet.
“Basically he’s like, ‘Oh so I’ve seen that girl, I kind of like her’, and I was like, ‘Oh wait, which one?’ And then obviously he’s pointed at Netty.
“And I’ve gone, ‘Oh actually bro, I know that girl, I know of her, I know that girl, do you want me to introduce you?”
He went on to share that he did reach out to Netty at a pub in Shoreditch to ask if she was interested in his friend, but said it didn’t work out between the pair.
He ended the video, captioned “The whole story about me and Netty!”: “It was a funny thing we talk about every now and again because it’s a bit of a childish thing, and that’s your lot, that is all of it. There’s nothing else, voila!”
Producers had previously shared they knew that Ross and Netty had some connection, with Mike Cotton telling press: “Ross and Netty was not intentional at all. We actually cast them as individuals.
“We do lengthy background checks on them all to take part. And I think it’s part of that we discovered that they follow each other on social media.
“So we knew that there was a tenuous link, but we didn’t know whether they’d recognise each other or how they would react.
“We didn’t want to exclude them because they knew each other – I just thought it was really interesting to see what it added to the game.”
However, fans are convinced this isn’t the only player Ross knows in the game, as several have unearthed evidence that he knew psychologist Ellie before filming.
As well as pointing out moments from the show, fans found one picture, which appears to have been taken a year before filming in June 2024, that shows them stood side-by-side in a group in a team outing.
It’s since been claimed that they once holidayed at the same hotel in Tenerife, as The Sun reported they posted holiday snaps from the same location after filming ended.
The pair have so far kept their suspected relationship hidden from the other players, but that’s not the only secret they could be covering.

“What you don’t see is who I picked for a secret Traitor. Do you know who it is? Could you guess?” she teased.
As viewers, we have no idea who it could be, leaving us playing the game with the contestants, until a big reveal set for tomorrow night.
