Married at First Sight UK stars Abi and John sent fans into a frenzy with their big reveal

Just one pair from Married at First Sight UK’s most recent series remains together today, and they’ve got followers in an absolute tizzy with an adorable reveal shared on social media.

Abigail Lindsay and John Shepherd first laid eyes on each other at the altar, deciding to wed during their initial encounter on the Channel 4 reality programme’s tenth series. Though they joined the experiment later than others, they rapidly established themselves as one of the most solid matches.

The pair successfully reached the show’s conclusion, where they opted to stay devoted to one another, and have remained faithful to that promise ever since. Whilst their fellow contestants from the same series have gone their separate ways, Abi and John continue to be utterly smitten.

On New Year’s Eve, the couple shared a “special announcement” clip on their social media platform. An accompanying message stated: “You all know how our year started, but you don’t know how it ended, Cara Mia.”

The video showed the beaming couple as John spoke to viewers, saying: “Hi everyone, we were going to do a little ‘here’s what we did this year’ carousel but you know what happened. But you don’t know the ending.”

He went on: “We are very pleased to announce that we’re expecting…” before drawing out a lengthy pause whilst Abi grinned beside him, reports the Mirror.

The clip then cut to reveal the duo in identical positions but costumed as The Addams Family’s Morticia and Gomez, with John finishing his statement: ” – a fantastic New Year’s Eve party.” The revelation clearly caught fans off-guard, as countless viewers swarmed the comments section beneath the video with their surprised responses.

“Guys I love you guys! Got me all excited,” wrote one devoted fan. “You two got me in the first half,” admitted another.

A third branded the pair “naughty” for their cheeky wind-up, whilst Big Brother presenter AJ Odudu joined the conversation with a crying laughing emoji. “You little teasers,” remarked another follower, adding: “No lie you got me so excited.”

Meanwhile, Abi and John’s co-star Rebecca Fenney recently unveiled her new romance following the breakdown of her relationship with MAFS groom Bailey Smith. She disclosed she was now in a relationship with Liverpool FC footballer Lily Woodham through a heartfelt video.

In the touching clip, Rebecca shared: “In your thirties a girl will come into your life when you least expect it. You’ll question everything you’ve ever known about yourself. Who you are, what you are, how this feels so right? It’s important you don’t try and fight it. Let love in.”
