A jihadi who was jailed after fleeing the UK with her toddler to join the Islamic State has reinvented herself as a dating coach, sharing tips on TikTok for women to ‘act like a cat’ to get a man

A jihadi who fled the UK has reinvented herself as a dating coach, sharing tips on finding a soulmate along with glam snaps of her holidays and trips to designer stores.

Tareena Shakil, branded the TOWIE jihadi for her love of reality TV, has swapped pics of herself in a balaclava brandishing an AK-47 for advice such as to “act like a cat” around men.

After travelling to join the Islamic State with her son in 2014, she fled back to the UK after being forced to marry a one-legged jihadi fighter. Now, following her “long journey” to become de-radicalised, her posts win adoring comments, praising her as “the most beautiful woman in the world”.

Tareena launched her TikTok channel in 2022 and gives tips for women to spot toxic behaviour and find a soulmate, according to The Sun.

Her TikTok bio states “You’re safe here Girls”. A video she posted on Friday explains how men make women they’re dating obsess over them. “When they block you, it’s a punishment because they know it’s going to hurt you,” she says.

“When they unblock you it’s a reward because they know you’re going to be waiting for them to unblock you… People use this manipulation tactic when they wanna get people hooked on them – when they want someone right where they want them.”

Her videos share insights on first dates, how to know if you’re in love, and how to “act like a cat” around men.

Other posts, showing glam trips to destinations such as Paris, win adoring comments from male followers, telling her she’s “the most beautiful woman in the world” and “so cute”.

See also promotes Islam: “You don’t have to be Muslim for us to help you. Whenever you have read or seen anything that says Muslims hate the West, they’re a danger to the West, they hate non-Muslims, you have been lied to.”

The mum snuck off to Raqqa with her toddler in 2014 but was locked up two years later after fleeing back to the UK to escape an arranged marriage with a “one-legged” fighter.

Eager to become a “martyr”, she posed in photos with weapons and even showed her 14-month-old son next to an assault rifle and wearing an Islamic State hat.

But she made it back to the UK by tricking the terrorist minder that she had to visit her husband, who didn’t exist. After taking a taxi to the border with Turkey, she ran across a field to safety.

Tareena was handed a six-year sentence for encouraging acts of terrorism on social media and being a member of Islamic State. The judge found she had gone to the war-torn region to “produce the next generation of fighters”. She has claimed that she “regretted everything” about her three-month trip to Syria.

She was freed from prison after less than three years and her TikTok posts began in May 2022. She also posts under the handle @ThatGirlTamTam, with selfies on Instagram tagged “fashion blogger” and “style”. Other photos show her outside Dior and Givenchy.
