Woman turns up to fancy date and leaves immediately for shocking reason

Rachel Anderson was praised after spotting a major red flag on a first date with a bloke and immediately walking out before posting a video explaining her actions

A single woman has revealed she walked out of a first date at a fancy restaurant – in less than two minutes.

Rachel Anderson, 35, said she had been looking forward to the date with the man, who told her it was a “surprise” and to wear “something comfortable.”

After being told to “act like it was a lounge day at home”, she threw on a jumper, joggers and trainers and tied her hair in a bun.

But she was left stunned when her date then “tried to walk” her into a fine dining restaurant wearing a white button down, navy dress pants and smart shoes.

In a viral video, Rachel said: ““Why does this man try to walk me into a fine dining restaurant? I immediately know. I turned around and walked out.”

In a TikTok video viewed more than a million times, she added: “As soon as you meet me, you want to level the playing field by humbling and/or embarrassing me by bringing me out to a place where you know that I am underdressed? Absolutely not.

“So I went and got myself some fast food sitting in the car. Old me would have tried to figure out why. I would have messaged him asking how could you have embarrassed me like that?

“Now, Immediately blocked, you showed me who you are. You don’t have to show me twice. You will never, ever have the opportunity to humble me again.”

In the comments, she added that when she arrived, the man pretended it was a joke to turn it back on her, asking: “Can’t take a joke?”

Social media users shared their support for her decision. One wrote: “I’m a grandmother now. I never thought I’d see women standing up for themselves like this in my lifetime and it’s beautiful.”

Another suggested: “He was testing you to see if he could control you.” Someone else said: “Ladies, this is leaving at the first red flag.”

A third wrote: “The immediate block instead of questioning/analyzing his behavior is such growth!”

Rachel replied in the comments: “We are raised to tolerate so much discomfort and disrespect, it’s taken me years, but I’ve finally arrived at the ‘zero allowances for a man’ stage in my life!”
