Andrew Mountbatten Windsor to move into exile pad ‘in weeks’ after Royal Lodge eviction

Date:

After Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was stripped of all his titles and told to leave the Windsor estate, the disgraced former prince is now set to move into his new home very soon

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is now likely to leave the Royal Lodge “in weeks”, as work is ongoing for his new home in Sandringham. It comes as his fall from grace continues in the wake of his friendship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The former prince has been out of the Royal Family for months after King Charles officially stripped him of his titles back in October. His former wife, Sarah Ferguson, was also not spared and also lost her own titles in the process.

As a result, Andrew would no longer have access to the Royal Lodge on the Windsor estate and was told he needed to leave. However, issues regarding the disgraced ex-royal’s living arrangement delayed this.

But now, according to the Sun, work is now in full swing for a new home on the King’s Sandringham estate, ready for Andrew to move into ahead of his 66th birthday next month. Sources close to the royals told the newspaper that renovations for the dwelling were in full swing on Monday (January 12).

Photos caught the home being fitted with six-foot tall wooden fences right around Marsh Farm, a run-down property owned personally by the King. This is to ensure the property is safe and private so that Andrew can live out the rest of his life with relative privacy.

On top of this, workers were spotted inside nearby farm buildings, which have reportedly been left abandoned for several years, causing them to fall into disrepair. Diggers were seen parked on the home’s front lawn, with electricians being seen hard at work to make sure the house was ready for Andrew when he moves in.

Extensive security measures are now being built into the house, including CCTV, as insiders have said that the home will be a huge change for the former royal. They explained: “The snow or rain hasn’t delayed the work on Marsh Farm but it still needs a lot of attention to make it habitable.

“But one thing for sure is that it is a lot, lot smaller and less luxurious than Royal Lodge,” they added. The source also explained that the new home will be ready for Andrew to move into ahead of his birthday on February 19.

However, whilst work on his future home is ongoing at a fast pace, Andrew is currently cooped up at an even smaller home at Sandringham. It comes as former pals of the prince have admitted that Andrew is no longer trying to fight the allegations and just wants to move on with his life.

As well as this, the friend explained: “He and Sarah will go their own separate ways for the first time in almost 20 years. Apart from involvement with the children and grandchildren, they will live separate lives.”

Andrew is trying to stay out of the public eye after he was stripped of his titles as a result of his close friendship with Epstein. His name has appeared within emails that were included in the Epstein files, released late last year — but this does not implicate Andrew into any sexual assault.

However, Andrew has faced accusations of having sex with Virginia Giuffre whilst she was a teenage girl, accusations she made before tragically taking her own life in early 2025. Andrew has strongly denied all accusations of sexual assault and misconduct made against him.
