Adam Peaty’s Strictly partner Katya Jones cuts ties with star as family feud rages on

Adam Peaty’s Strictly Come Dancing partner Katya Jones has appeared to distance herself from the Olympic swimmer by unfollowing on Instagram, just days after his wedding

Katya Jones seems to have cut ties with Adam Peaty.

Adam and Katya were Strictly dance partners during the 2021 series of the BBC show. The pair formed a close friendship and even sparked romance rumours at one point – thanks to that Argentine Tango.

However, Katya was nowhere to be seen at Adam’s wedding to Holly Ramsay at Bath Abbey last month, despite other Strictly stars such as Dan Walker and Sara Davies attending. Sadly, the lead up to the big day was plagued by a bitter family feud.

And now Katya has unfollowed Adam on Instagram, in a move that suggests she’s no longer friends with the star. Interestingly though, she still follows the swimmer’s mum Caroline.

Katya has previously supported the gold medalist at events outside of Strictly. In July 2024, she watched her former dancer partner win a silver medal in the 100m breaststroke final – alongside his family such as Caroline.

Most of Adam’s family, including his parents, were uninvited from the wedding apart from his sister Beth. It’s believed a feud erupted after Caroline wasn’t invited to Holly’s hen do.

Caroline has been public with her heartache over her fractured relationship with the swimmer in the lead up to the wedding. She previously said she believes it’s “the end” of her relationship with her son. She told the Daily Mail: “I know it’s the end.

“But please, the message I want Adam to hear is no matter what happens in the future, please know I love you, your dad loves you, you can come home and talk to me at any point.

“There’s nothing you’ve done that I would not forgive. I love you so much. I hope your marriage is a good one, I don’t wish any ill on you and I want you and Holly to have a long and happy marriage, like your dad and me. The reason I’m speaking out is I want all this to end.”Caroline recently revealed she would no longer be gatecrashing the ceremony. She said she had originally planned on turning up, but Mark is said to have inspired a change of heart, persuading her it would be “too upsetting” to watch.
