The Traitors star predicts Stephen’s ‘downfall’ after secret pact

Date:

Stephen’s time on the show could be coming to an end.

The Traitors is just days from its finale with two of the secret killers still dodging elimination and guarding their identities.

Despite Harriet pointing the finger at Rachel and Jessie harbouring doubts about Stephen, the pair of original Traitors have managed to remain concealed, navigating their way through tense roundtables and savage challenges on Claudia Winkleman’s murder mystery gameshow.

But now, two Traitors favourites have expressed concerns that Stephen’s stint on the programme could be nearing its conclusion, cautioning about his potential “downfall”.

Up until now, Stephen and Rachel have maintained their agreement not to betray one another or cast votes against each other, hoping to reach the finale as a duo, despite witnessing their fellow Traitors Hugo and Fiona face banishment.

On the spin-off show Uncloaked, former Traitors favourites Linda Rands and Alexander Dragonetti appeared alongside host Ed Gamble and Strictly celebrity La Voix, reports Wales Online.

La Voix kicked off: “I don’t believe [Rachel and Stephen] are going to stick together, I don’t know whether Rachel is going to cross Stephen or whether Stephen is going to cross Rachel.

“I just think they’re unsettled.”

Discussing their alliance, Linda continued: “Stephen is obviously really supporting Rachel and Rachel did say that she would try and stand by Stephen as much as she could and try and divert the suspicion from Stephen.”

La Voix responded: “But at some point, if everyone goes for Stephen she’s going to have to.”

Linda reflected on her stint on the show, where she was dubbed “the worst Traitor ever”. She revealed that she had advised her fellow Traitor Minah to vote her off if suspicions started to mount against her.

Alexander offered his perspective, stating: “I feel like as long as Stephen is useful to Rachel, she’ll keep the pact, I feel like when he becomes too unuseful or gets too deep into the game, that’s where he’s at risk.

“I don’t think the alliance has been tested yet.”

Stephen, before participating in the game, shared some insights about himself: “I’m very personable. People seem to let their guard down around me very quickly when I first meet them.

“I think that’s partly due to having quite a regional accent that I think works in my favour.

“It might sound like quite a simplistic game plan to just make friends with everyone, but I do think that’s something that does come naturally to me.

“However, I’m also very competitive, and quite pragmatic, and I’m also taking the game seriously.

“I’m going to use what I feel is my quite innate talent to bring people close to solidify myself among the group, as someone that they would feel bad about getting rid of.”

The Traitors continues tonight at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
