Another Faithful was murdered on Friday, leaving BBC viewers feeling frustated
Another Faithful on The Traitors has been murdered, ending their time on Claudia Winkleman’s hit BBC gameshow. After banishing yet another Faithful on Thursday (January 15), remaining Traitors Rachel and Stephen seemed to be on a winning streak.
The pair decided against recruitment in the turret, as they didn’t want someone else ruining their game plan. Stephen explained to Rachel: “I don’t think it’s going to add to our game. We know each other and how we work as Traitors.”
Instead, Rachel and Stephen decided to shortlist Jessie, Faraaz and Matthew for the next murder. And moments into Friday’s (January 16) episode, it was revealed who would have to leave the castle immediately.
Much to the surprise of the group, it was confirmed that Jessie had been murdered overnight, after repeatedly sharing her suspicions of Stephen at the roundtable.

After learning of her death, Jessie said: “Oh that’s it! Now, I possibly believe Stephen wasn’t a Traitor and I have totally pinned this on him. Because if it is, he would have just kept me in. I just really hope that the Faithfuls win.”
At the breakfast table, Ellie then noted: “Well, last night, [Jessie] was coming for Stephen,” with Stephen saying to the group: “Whoever has done it, I know exactly what the plan is. Whatever the Traitor wants right now is to have no one looking at them and looking at everyone else.”
Speaking in his confessional, Traitor Stephen went on to explain: “I mean, I’m playing with fire. Jessie’s murder obviously shines a spotlight directly at me, but I’m just hoping this looks way too obvious that people start to think, ‘Well, it absolutely cannot be Stephen’. I’ve just had to take a massive gamble on this.”
BBC viewers were left devastated after fan-favourite player Jessie’s exit, with many sharing their heartbreak on X (formerly Twitter).
“WHAT’S THE POINT ANYMORE. Literally the only one who deserved to win,” one person wrote, with another adding: “Nooo I liked Jessie, the show will be less without her.”
A third said: “Jessie my girl. A clever faithful! But no one listened to you! I’m heartbroken,” with another similarly sharing: “It’s only a game. It doesn’t really matter. It’s entertainment. So why am I so furious. Absolutely gutting that Jessie has gone.”
Another disappointed fan said: “Of course they killed Jessie ffs this is the worst day of my life,” with a sixth adding: “Justice for Jessie. We ride at dawn.”
A seventh person commented: “Such a shame Jessie has gone! She was the only Faithful left who deserved to win! Traitors to win now!! This bunch of clueless Faithfuls don’t deserve to win! There could be a big illuminated arrow pointing right towards Rachel & they still wouldn’t see it!”
Meanwhile, other fans noticed that James was particularly upset after Jessie’s exit, cementing their belief that the star’s are related in some way. Could this be true?
