Love Island All Stars viewers slam ‘cringe’ show detail minutes in

Love Island All Stars viewers were left saying the same thing after the latest episode

Love Island fans have voiced the same complaint just minutes into the newest All Stars episode.

The ITV2 spin-off made its comeback on Thursday (January 15), with a dozen former contestants returning to the villa for another chance at romance.

During Friday’s (January 16) instalment, the group gathered around the firepit for a round of ‘Dicey Dares’. Contestants were required to select a dare card from a container and announce it to everyone present.

They then rolled dice to determine whether they’d complete the challenge themselves or delegate it to another Islander, reports OK!.

True to Love Island tradition, the majority of dares resulted in passionate snogs between the stars.

In one memorable moment, Leanne was challenged to “have a three-way kiss with the two Islanders she fancies the most”. She proceeded to share passionate moments with newcomer Scott and series five favourite Belle.

Series 12 contestant Helena subsequently drew a card stating: “Snog two Islanders and say which is better.” She then handed the task to former champion Millie, who opted to kiss Charlie and Scott.

The challenges continued as Tommy was dared to smooch all the female contestants.

Meanwhile, Shaq and Sean could overhear the proceedings from the Hideaway Retreat after Scott banished them there during his explosive arrival.

As the game progressed, home viewers found themselves expressing identical frustrations about the segment.

Many believed it dragged on excessively, whilst others branded it as “cringey”. On X, previously known as Twitter, one user wrote: “I always find these challenges cringey,” with another echoing the sentiment: “I’d have to have a lot of alcohol in my system to be playing games like this! So cringe!”.

A third fan humorously asked: “How long is this snogging game?”, while another pleaded: “Can we wrap up this kissing game plss?”.

The series made a triumphant return last night after being postponed due to wildfires in South Africa. In a surprising turn of events, an additional episode will be broadcast on Saturday night, marking a first for the series.

Love Island: All Stars continues on ITV2 and ITVX tomorrow night at 9pm.
