Posh and Becks’ first born son has been in the spotlight since he was conceived and has decided to open up publicly about the bitter row that has engulfed his A-list family for the past year
Brooklyn Beckham has hit out at his famous parents in a scathing social media post in which he made a host of bombshell claims – including his mum dancing “inappropriately” on him on his wedding day.
Sir David and Victoria’s eldest son, 26, lashed out at his parents as he listed every grievance in great detail and insisted: “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
His lengthy Instagram rant follows a month-long bitter feud with his family, which saw him block them on social media and instruct his parents to only contact him through his lawyers.
Controlling parents
Brooklyn accused recently knighted Becks and his wife Victoria of “controlling narratives” in the press about the family. He wrote: “The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.
“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”
He also claimed they have been trying endlessly to ruin his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz. He added: “My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.”
Wedding woes
As he tore into his parents, Brooklyn also accused his relatives of telling him the night before his wedding that bride-to-be Nicola was “not blood” and “not family'”.
He also claimed that Posh Spice called him “evil” because Brooklyn and Nicola sat their grandmothers at their table at the wedding as their husbands were not present, adding: “Both of our parents had their own tables equally adjacent to ours.”
He also claimed his parents “tried to bribe” him into signing away the rights to his famous surname name, which he said “would have affected me, my wife, and our future children.”
Posh’s cringe dancing
Perhaps the biggest bombshell came when Brooklyn accused his mum of hijacking his first dance with bride Nicola by performing “inappropriate moves” which left him embarrassed.
He claimed: “In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife, but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me.
“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”
Becks refused to meet him
Brooklyn, who has been in the public eye since he was conceived, hit out at his dad for rejecting the couple ahead of his 50th birthday. Brooklyn claimed he and Nicola travelled to London and waited in their hotel room trying to plan “quality time” with David.
He claimed: “He refused all of our attempts, unless it was at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras at every corner. When he finally agreed to see me, it was under the condition that Nicola wasn’t invited.
“It was a slap in the face. Later, when my family travelled to LA, they refused to see me at all. My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first.”
Victoria snubs Nicola
Brooklyn raged that to the Beckhams, “family ‘love’ is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo opp, even if it’s at the expense of our professional obligations”.
And he claimed he and Nicola had “gone out of our way for years” to show up at every press event, but when they asked Victoria for help in rehoming displaced dogs during the LA fires, they were rejected.
He wrote: “The one time my wife asked for my mum’s support to save displaced dogs during the LA fires, my mum refused. The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards.”
Only a matter of time?
The bitter feud has rumbled on for months, with Brooklyn first blocking his family on social media and then instructing lawyers to mediate contact.
Acclaimed showbiz reporter Tom Bryant wrote on Monday night: “After speaking to sources at the heart of the drama for the last 12 months, it’s fair to say such animosity had been bubbling away behind the scenes for some time.
“Some might mutter it was only a matter of time before Brooklyn snapped. ‘It’s a story as old as time: blame the woman for the man’s actions. It’s just deeply insulting,’ one pal told me last week. In the end, it just got too much.
“It’s fair to say that Brooklyn hated the suggestion he was somehow at the mercy of his domineering wife. His friends have blasted such a narrative as ‘deeply misogynistic’ and he’s repeatedly told pals he doesn’t stand for his wife being ‘vilified’.”
