Cops released an image with her eyes blacked out, but it was the shot from behind that grabbed the media attention after it exposed her bum and knickers through her leggings
A suspected swindler accused of drugging men during dates to rob them has gone viral after her bum and knickers were visible in her custody photo.
Lidia Esther Lobo’s mugshot was shared by cops in the hope of finding other potential victims of her alleged crimes, dubbed the “goodnight Cinderella” scam.
Her eyes were blacked out but it was the picture from behind that grabbed the public’s attention in the country after the camera’s flash exposed her bum and knickers through her leggings.
Lobo, 20, was nicked under a Buenos Aires court warrant after she was found holed up at her parents home in Choele Choel, a town in Rio Negro province in southern Argentina, following weeks-long searches.
After her detention was announced, an Instagram reel sharing the police image attracted around 4.8 million views as the mugshot-style photo ricocheted across feeds.
Her Instagram profile later went offline, while her TikTok account reportedly remained visible but had been inactive since Christmas Eve of 2024.
While early coverage gave few details about the alleged offence, additional information published locally has described her as a suspect linked to at least two alleged robberies between April and May this year.
In both cases, she is accused of approaching men via social media, arranging dates at their homes, and then allegedly slipping a sleeping pill into their drinks before emptying bank accounts and taking valuables from the apartments.
One of the key leads was a seemingly trivial purchase investigators say helped map her movements: a chocolate bar she ordered to be delivered to the victim’s own address while he lay unconscious.
According to the allegation, the man collapsed after dinner in his apartment in Buenos Aires on 30th May, shortly before he was planning to take a shower.
Prosecutors allege that while he was out cold, transfers totalling 5.5 million Argentine peso (around £2,800) were made from his phone and that the chocolate delivery – logged with date, time and address – became a crucial lead in rebuilding the suspect’s trail.
When the victim later came round after midnight, he allegedly found the apartment ransacked, with items including cash, phones, a laptop, an electric guitar and other personal belongings missing, and he called the cops.
A second case in the file is said to involve an alleged victim who hosted the young woman for several days in early April.
He reportedly lost consciousness after drinking a Fernet-and-cola mixture and later discovered cash, electronics, appliances, luggage and other items missing, with additional purchases and transactions allegedly logged from his devices the following day.
Investigators are said to have used the pattern of transfers, purchases and linked accounts to identify the main suspect, before a judge requested support from a specialist fugitive unit.
Lobo has now been charged with aggravated robbery. She has denied the accusations and so far, no details of any potential accomplices have been released.
