Victoria Beckham used telling one-word insult for Nicola Peltz at glam event

A lip-reading expert has analysed footage from the premiere of David Beckham’s Netflix documentary and claims Victoria Beckham made a tense ‘nightmare’ comment seemingly about daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz

A lip-reading expert has shed light on what seems to be a tense exchange between the Beckham family members at the premiere of David Beckham’s documentary series, Beckham. Footage from the glitzy event has resurfaced online and is being re-examined following Brooklyn Beckham’s shocking revelations about his family on Instagram Stories earlier this week.

Nicola Hickling, a forensic lip reader working with Covers.com, analysed clips from the red-carpet event that took place in London in October 2023. The Beckham clan, including David, 50, Victoria, 51, and their four children – Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper – were all in attendance.

In the video, Brooklyn seems to be whispering something to Romeo, and according to Nicola, he appears to say: “I hated it.”

The lip-reading expert suggests that his remark pertains to a recent incident, implying that Brooklyn might have felt uncomfortable posing for pictures with his parents, or it could relate to an earlier moment when the 26 year old reached out to David, who seemed to withdraw and flinch. Shortly after, Brooklyn seems to add: “She’s in tears.”, reports the Mirror.

Given Brooklyn’s gaze and the way he looks at his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, the specialist interprets this as a reference to his spouse, as reported by the Express.

“Brooklyn’s eyes look so heavy, whilst trying to put on a facade of seeming to be okay,” Nicola notes. “Whatever happened before they arrived at the premiere, something went down.”

Later on, Victoria seemed to deliver a firm ultimatum as Cruz and Harper moved towards a photo wall, apparently declaring: “I need you to tell them, they can’t do that, if they do, it’s over for them.”

She went on to note: “Victoria is very tense when she sees Brooklyn and Nicola heading to the wall; she looks straight past them.”

A lip reader also caught the former Spice Girl covering her mouth slightly whilst telling her aide she was a “nightmare.”

At this moment, she appeared to be referencing Nicola and Brooklyn.

Both Victoria and David have remained silent regarding Brooklyn’s claims.
