Two people have reportedly been shot down as a major police incident has seen officers lock down an Australian town in search for a suspected gunman.
New South Wales Police have warned all residents to “stay inside” after three people were shot in Lake Cargelligo, at around 5pm local time today (January 22) .
According to Australian media outlet NEWS7, two people have reportedly died and at least one other person is injured. The situation is still ongoing.
A spokesperson for New South Wales Police said: “The public is urged to avoid the area and for local residents to stay inside.”
