A train has collided with a crane in the third major rail incident in Spain this week as emergency services are currently on the scene.
The incident that occurred today (January 22) was in Alumbres, near Murcia, and contained several passengers.
The Cartagena-Los Nietos narrow-gauge railway (FEVE) is reported incolved in the area of Cartagena.
Spanish rail operator Adif said on X that traffic on that line was interrupted due to “the intrusion into the infrastructure gauge by a crane not belonging to the railway operation”.
According to local reports, multiple people have suffered injurious as a result of today’s crash..
The cause of the incident is yet to be revealed by officials.
