‘World’s sexiest footballer’ Alisha Lehmann joins UK club hours after ‘hot’ romance confirmed

The ‘world’s sexiest footballer’ player has joined a UK club hours after her “hot” new romance to a Love Island beau was confirmed. Alisha Lehmann has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Leicester City.

The former Aston Villa player is returning to the Women’s Super League until at least the summer of 2028 after a spell at Juventus and FC Como. The 27-year-old spent six years in England’s top tier before moving to Juventus where she helped her side to a league and cup double.

The Switzerland international said: “It feels amazing and I’m so happy to be here. It feels like a homecoming, coming back to England, and I’m really happy.

“Leicester is an amazing club. I’ve seen the training ground and, of course, the stadium. They want to push women’s football forward.”

Earlier today, it was confirmed Lehmann had found love again in the shape of a former Love Islander and non-league football star. She has had a rollercoaster love life after previously dating fellow Swiss international Ramona Bachmann before cosying up to ex-Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz.

Her relationship with Luiz was headline news after they reconciled their romance before making a couple’s transfer to Juventus. After meeting at Aston Villa, the two made the first-ever boyfriend-girlfriend transfer when the pair were both sold to the Turin giants.

However, their on-off relationship broke down off the pitch while their form on it left them. While Luiz is currently in the middle of a lacklustre loan spell at Nottingham Forest, Lehmann joined Como in the summer.

But the Swiss star, who has 16 million followers on Instagram, has remained involved with football on these shores as she managed team MVPS in the Baller League, where she appears to have met her new boyfriend.

Lehmann hard-launched her romance with Folkestone Invicta wing-back Montel McKenzie on Instagram as she revelled in her 2025 memories. The second picture of her post showed the couple on holiday, cuddling up in front of a sunset.

Captioning the post, Lehmann wrote: “A year full of love, family, friends and all the beautiful people in my life. Thank you for making me strong and to show me, life’s worth everything.

“Thanks to everyone for the wishes, you make me a better person and that’s why I will never give up.”
