Love Island All Stars star Charlie Frederick has left fans gobsmacked after throwback footage from his stint on Made in Chelsea circulating on TikTok revealed his accent has changed
Charlie Frederick has left Love Island fans stunned with his “real” accent.
The 31-year-old heartthrob from Plymouth is currently on the hunt for romance in the All Stars villa.
He first rose to fame on the ITV2 dating show eight years ago during the fourth series in 2018.
However, his stint was short-lived, lasting only five days, and he’s now hoping for better luck this time around.
Reality TV enthusiasts will recall that Charlie made an appearance on E4’s Made in Chelsea after his initial Love Island exit, reports OK!.
He joined the cast in 2020 and had a fleeting romance with co-star Verity Bowditch.
Clips from the Channel 4 show have resurfaced on TikTok, leaving fans surprised they hadn’t made the connection earlier.
“Omg I completely forgot he was in this ahaha,” one fan remarked.
Another chimed in: “Omg had no idea he was even in this! !” While a third asked: “How did I not know this”
In addition to looking almost unrecognisable from his MIC days, fans were taken aback by how different he sounded five years ago.
In one TikTok video, Charlie can be seen chatting with Verity, and viewers have noted a change in his accent.
One social media user commented: “How did I forget he was on MIC and his voice sounds so different.”
Another added: “I literally had no clue they were the same person. That’s wild.” A third person observed: “His voice is different on LI.”
Currently, Charlie finds himself in the midst of a major love triangle involving former winners Millie Court and Jess Harding.
Viewers have accused him of playing both women, with some left stunned after he sneakily snogged Jess just moments before choosing to couple up with Millie at the recoupling ceremony.

Speaking ahead of his departure to South Africa for All Stars, he clarified: “It’s not the fame I’m here for at all, it’s not like I want to get back in the fame scene.
“I comfortably left going back on Made in Chelsea last time. I said no because I met my ex-girlfriend and she was supposed to go on Love Island, I was supposed to go on Made in Chelsea.
“We found each other and then we said ‘let’s knock it on the head, see how this goes’ and then four years later, I’m single again.”
