A perverted criminal found with indecent images of children and extreme pornographic material featuring bestiality has been spared jail.

Nathan Trewern appeared before Truro Crown Court this month where he received his sentence for numerous sexual crimes. On January 9, the court heard how between April 2015 and the end of May 2024, the 30-year-old produced 190 category A indecent images of children – the most severe classification – alongside 159 category B images and 51 category C images.

He also stood trial for sharing 231 indecent images of children during that period and for holding extreme pornographic content showing acts of intercourse or oral sex with an animal. Court records disclosed that Trewern possessed seven images “which portrayed, in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing an act of intercourse with a live animal, namely a dog and a horse”, reports Cornwall Live.

He pleaded guilty to three charges of creating indecent images of children, one charge of sharing indecent images of children and one charge of holding extreme pornographic images. He was handed a total sentence of two years imprisonment suspended for two years, along with 200 hours of unpaid work and 40 days of rehabilitation activity requirement including a sex offenders’ programme.

Trewern, from Treloweth Road in Pool, located between Redruth and Camborne, was also issued a sexual harm prevention order for ten years. He will be registered on the sex offenders’ list for an equivalent period.

Furthermore, he was instructed to pay court costs totalling £120.
